Standard Flight Cancellation and Refund Policies

Generally, any airline offers a window of 24 hours after the passenger has made a flight reservation. If you cancel the flight booking within the first 24 hours of reservation, the airline may not charge any cancelation fee.

Some tickets are non-refundable in nature. Such tickets will have no cancelation or refund facility. It is better to check the limitations of the tickets while making the reservations to steer clear of the last-minute disappointments.

If you want to cancel the ticket that comes along with some package including hotel reservations, car rentals, tour service, etc., then a cancelation fee will be applicable.

The cancelation fee may always vary depending on the destination of the flight, departure point of the flight, the fare type that you have purchased, the time of cancelation, etc.

If you don’t cancel the flight ticket and not even board the flight, then the entire fare value will be charged by the airline.

Changes or cancellations of hotel reservations will be made as per the rules and restrictions of that particular hotel. You need abide by the Terms and Conditions imposed with respect to your hotel reservations.

Generally, you are allowed to cancel or change your hotel reservation, but you are charged for the cancellation or change fee as mentioned in the rules and restrictions by the respective hotel.

In case you do not cancel or change your reservation before the cancellation policy period aforementioned by the hotel you have reserved (usually 24 to 72 hours prior to your date of arrival), you might be subjected to a penalty fee equal to applicable nightly rates, tax recovery charges, and service fees.

In case you do not show up for the first night of the reservation and decide to check-in for subsequent nights in your reservation, you must confirm the changes with no later than the date of the first night of the reservation to prevent cancellation of your reservation.
